The Bioeconomy Institute provides post-award services and resources at no charge to Iowa State University faculty and P&S staff to support all projects that advance the bioeconomy to benefit society.
Our post-award process is a personalized benefit beyond those already offered at the department/college level and is carried out in accordance with the requirements of applicable funding agencies and the ISU Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA), Sponsored Programs Accounting (SPA), and OIPTT Industry Contracts.
What BEI offers:
- Monthly/Quarterly project financial updates and budget forecasting.
- Personnel costing allocation assistance and spend-down projections.
- Cost Share tracking and management.
- Transaction review (Allowability, Appropriateness, and Allocability).
- Establish and monitor grant lines in accordance with sponsor and ISU Policies.
- Rebudgeting and No Cost Extension support.
- Award, Amendment, and Modification review.
- Liaise between the ISU project team and ISU FINDL, OSPA, SPA, CONTR, ISU Foundation, etc.
- Availability for virtual and in-person discussions.
- Conference room availability for hosting in-person project meetings, and meetings with Industry, Agencies, IHEs, and more!
