Iowa State University's entrepreneurial ecosystem is supporting two energy startups, Rise Energy and Upcycling+. Rise Energy focuses on converting underused biomass, such as old basketball flooring, into bio-oil and biochar. Upcycling+ aims to transform plastic waste into fuels and chemicals.
