Dr. Lisa Schulte Moore, co-director of the Bioeconomy Institute, is a member of the AAAS Fellows Class of 2024. Schulte Moore is one of nine honorees from Iowa State University this year.

A professor of rofessor of natural resource ecology and management, she is recognized, “For distinguished contributions to landscape ecology, particularly for creating more sustainable agricultural systems.”

Schulte Moore’s research supports the development of new agricultural practices and markets to meet farm and societal goals for sustainable food, energy, and materials, rural prosperity, healthy soil, clean water, abundant wildlife, and inspiring recreational opportunities.
