Topic 1: Distributed Chemical Manufacturing (DCheM): Applicants must address Research Thrust 1 and at least one of Thrusts 2 and 3:

Research Thrust 1: Fundamental Chemical and Physical Transformations of Matter.
Research Thrust 2: Process Integration and Advanced Manufacturing.
Research Thrust 3: Process Modeling, Optimization and Control.

Topic 2: Engineering the Elimination of End-of-Life Plastics (E3P): Applicants must address at least two of the three research thrusts below:

Research Thrust 1: Depolymerization of plastic materials.
Research Thrust 2: Valorization of plastic materials and plastic-derived molecules.
Research Thrust 3: Processes, methods, and tools that advance a circular economy for plastics.
