The 4th Annual Iowa State University Symposium on Sustainability will be held Feb. 26, 2013. It will be kicked off with the 2nd Annual Sustainapalooza event as well as an evening lecture and poster session on Feb. 25. The year 2013 kicks off the fifth year of Iowa State University’s Live Green! initiative and the call to action given to all students, faculty, and staff to be fully committed to and engaged in ensuring a sustainable future through our actions and decisions regarding our campus, its operations, and initiatives. This year’s symposium focuses on the integral connection sustainability has to campus and the community in terms of sustaining the bottom line and building a sustainable future. BEI Director Robert C. Brown will be one of the speakers at the event.
