Petrobras Visit

Individuals from Petrobras, Brazilian-based oil and ethanol refiner, visited ISU BEI on November 28-29 to learn about ISU research in pyrolysis and bio-asphalt and to discuss potential collaborations.  Visitors included:  Leni Leite, Senior Consultant, Petrobras; Margareth Cravo, Process Engineer, Petrobras; Ronaldo Monteiro, Business Consultant, Petrobras; and José da Silva, ISU Visiting Scientist/Scholar from Petrobras.  The Brazilians met with Chris Williams, Professor, Civil and Construction Engineering; Robert Brown, Director, ISU Center for Environmental and Sustainable Technologies; and Bruce Babcock, Director ISU Biobased Industry Center.

Iowa Department of Management

Several members of the Iowa Department of Management staff visited the ISU campus on Tuesday, November 22nd ; their schedule included a tour of the ISU Biorenewables Laboratory. Visitors included Dave Roederer, Director, Iowa Department of Management; Dave Fardel, Budget and Finance Analyst for Higher Education, Iowa Department of Management; and Joel Lunde, Budget and Finance Analyst for Capital and Infrastructure, Iowa Department of Management.
