The Bioeconomy Institute and the Center for Crops Utilization Research, Iowa State University, are hosting a two-week intensive program that provides advanced student training in the expanding fields of biobased product engineering, processing and product development. The focus is on innovative ideas and technologies that are an inherent component of complex 'next generation' agriculture and engineering.
The Biorenewable Resources and Technology Intensive Program is enhanced by several activities outside the lecture setting. These interactions include recitation periods with research experts, tours of area biorenewable fuel plants, biomass production and conversion facilities, and the BioCentury Research Farm at Iowa State University.
This program is sponsored by a grant from Cargill, Inc., an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services. Cargill is committed to using its knowledge and experience to collaborate insuring success.
